What is ESTA?

ELIGIBILITY

Who needs ESTA?

Citizens of 41 VWP countries entering the U.S. for tourism, business, or transit up to 90 days.

VALIDITY

How long is ESTA valid?

Two years from approval or until passport expires. Whichever comes first. Multiple entries.

Is ESTA a travel clearance?

No. ESTA is a pre-screening authorisation. Not a travel clearance. Different rules apply.

LATENCY

How long does processing take?

Most submissions processed within 72 hours. Submit at least 72h before departure.

OUTCOME

What if ESTA is denied?

Apply for a U.S. travel clearance at nearest embassy. Denial does not prevent that.
